A farm or family property can represent generations of work, memories, and family history. Hartsock Design Works transforms that meaningful place into a handcrafted layered wood map designed specifically around the property and the features that make it recognizable to your family.

Each property map is individually designed from your specific property — not a standard map template. Property boundaries, fields, buildings, roads, waterways, tree lines, and other recognizable features are recreated using layered, laser-cut and laser-engraved wood.

These pieces are particularly suited for family farms passed through generations, retirement gifts, farm anniversaries, heritage properties, new homeowners, family keepsakes, memorial pieces, and gifts for parents or grandparents.

After ordering, you're welcome to send photos, screenshots, marked-up maps, property surveys, or any other reference material that helps communicate what makes your property recognizable. The more we understand your land, the more meaningful we can make your map.

The $219.99 starting price includes approximately two hours of custom design work, which covers most standard farm and property maps. If your property requires additional design time beyond that — such as a large number of structures, highly detailed field networks, or significant custom illustration — we'll review your details after ordering and reach out with a quote before any additional work begins. The starting price includes a completely custom-designed property map with approximately two hours of design work, layered wood construction, laser cutting and engraving, your property or family name, and a handmade MDF frame. A solid red oak frame upgrade is available for $244.99.

What if my property is large or complicated?
We'll review your property details after you order. If your design requires additional work beyond what's included — such as a large number of structures, highly detailed field networks, or extensive custom features — we'll contact you with a quote before proceeding. No surprises, ever.

What counts as extra complexity?
Things like 10+ structures, very intricate field or road networks, or significant custom illustration work beyond a standard property layout. When in doubt, just reach out before ordering and we're happy to give you a sense of scope.

How do I share my property details with you?
After ordering, you can email us photos, screenshots, aerial images, marked-up maps, a property survey, parcel information, or any reference that helps us understand your land. The more context you share, the better we can capture what makes your property unique.

Can I be involved in the design process?
Yes. We welcome your input and will share design progress before finalizing your map. This is your property — it should look right to you.

How long does it take?
